PRESIDENTE LOURENÇO SUBSTITUI DIRECÇÃO DO CERIMONIAL POR QUADROS DA SECRETA

O Presidente da República, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, substituiu esta semana a direcção do cerimonial do Palácio Presidencial por quadros do Serviço de Estado de Inteligência e Segurança de Estado (SINSE).

De acordo com o conteúdo de despachos, o Presidente nomeou Virgílio Domingos da Silva Júlio, até então delegado do SINSE, para ocupar o cargo de director do cerimonial da Presidência que estava vago desde maio de 2021.

Jorge Francisco Figueira, que no passado dia 30 de dezembro acompanhou o PR numa viagem às Ilhas Seychelles, foi também esta semana exonerado do cargo de director adjunto do cerimonial. Em seu lugar o PR nomeou Maria Teresa Adelaide Bento Lourenço, também proveniente do SINSE.

O novo director do cerimonial do PR é um quadro da nova geração da segurança angolana que domina questões protocolares, visto que antes de se tornar delegado provincial do SINSE de Luanda, esteve colocado na área dos eventos (responsável pelo reconhecimento e acompanhamento de comícios, actividades culturais, etc.). A sua esposa, também funcionária da instituição, integra o departamento nacional do protocolo da secreta.

Desde que João Lourenço chegou ao poder em 2017, já nomeou três directores do cerimonial presidencial. Em 2017, reconduziu José Filipe, que serviu por vários anos o seu antecessor José Eduardo dos Santos. Em 2019, nomeou um novo director, Bartolomeu Nunes, que ficou no cargo até maio de 2021.

A nomeação de um novo director é associada ao facto de que o cerimonial tenha ficado há três anos sem a indicação de um novo responsável máximo. Porém, também se alude que o aceleramento da exoneração e a subsequente nomeação visaram sancionar a direcção deste departamento depois de terem vazado documentos sobre viagens do Presidente e de sua família nas redes sociais, resultando na detenção de uma secretária, Elizabeth Dinis Miguel de Ambrósio.
