O Presidente da República, João Lourenço, afirmou, quinta-feira, que o combate à corrupção e à impunidade, um processo que visa uma gestão humana e responsável da coisa pública, “é um compromisso de todos os que desejam uma Angola próspera, justa e atractiva”.

Numa publicação na sua página oficial nas redes sociais, o Chefe de Estado encorajou, ainda, “toda a sociedade a travar este fenómeno devastador, neste dia dedicado à luta contra este flagelo”.

Em 2017, quando tomou posse, João Lourenço elegeu a corrupção, o nepotismo e a impunidade como os principais males a combater durante o seu mandato.

O Presidente da República reconhecia então que a corrupção e o nepotismo estavam implantados no país, tendo defendido ser contra esses mesmos males que se devia lutar e vencer, pois afectam a confiança dos investidores e minam a reputação e a produtividade de Angola.
